Advocate

What is an advocate?

An advocate is a person whom specifically is there to help you.

Help me with what?

Suppose you do not have basic literacy skills;
suppose, a letter from a government agency comes in the mail;
suppose you have a minor read the letter whom has not completed their elementary school education.

The end result is that it is hard or difficult to understand what is happening.
Let alone receiving very highly technical letters and being involved in things like child custody proceeding or child protective services actions.

The end result is sometimes you need someone to help you read "those letters" and understand or have some basic understanding of what is going on.

God forbid if it is highly technical legal letters that usually require the expertise of a lawyer.  Hence, we are here to help you, as best we can, to understand those letters and processes.

How do I apply for a job?  On those computers.
How do I apply for Food Stamps, Medicaid, Disability?

We can help you find the community services you need, and, we are not government workers, so no fear to ask questions from us.

God Bless.
