The End of Days for Joshua
A generalized reflection first; during the first five to six times of reading the bible from cover to cover, I was always focused on the REVENGE and JUSTICE side of God with a focus on the fact that God destroyed those whom did not do His will, and that was not limited to but did include Egypt.
This time, reading The Holy Bible, I saw for the first time a different perspective. God instructed the children of Israel not to talk bad about the Egyptians, and He took no pleasure in doing so [http://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/]. It was interesting because it speaks to the disability issue. The disabled were considered with Blemish, but, the other side of the story is that God chose those with disabilities, and, Jesus targeted that population for His ministry. We take the bible to mean all the glory and violence, while the same bible shows regret and hurt on the part of a God trying to help His people.
Towards the end of days, Joshua encouraged following God and not turning to idols and the blessings thereby. It is interesting that in the United States, idols take on a different form, and you do not see burning of sacrifices, etc, in the open, but people do have their alters and belief. The disabled still do not make it in to the congregation to worship, and, in the US, they can "go apply for services". Wow, just an interesting take on the whole scenario. God Bless and look for your idols in your home, they did not necessarily look like a figure of a saint or a candle.
